Description
The Bromic Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Outdoor Electric Patio Heater is engineered for powerful, reliable warmth in larger outdoor spaces and colder climates. Designed with Bromic’s market-leading radiant heat technology, this electric patio heater delivers focused, directional heat that warms people and surfaces rather than the surrounding air. The result is efficient, consistent comfort in patios, terraces, outdoor kitchens, and commercial environments.
Built with durability in mind, the Tungsten Electric heater features a matte stainless steel body with corrosion-resistant black or white finishes. Its patented honeycomb fascia promotes even heat distribution while protecting the internal heating element. Combined with Bromic’s superior wind resistance design, this heater maintains performance even in breezy conditions where traditional electric heaters struggle.
At the core of the Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Electric is a high-quality quartz heating element paired with a Parabolic Specular Reflector. This system captures and redirects infrared energy back toward the target area, maximizing efficiency and heat output. Adjustable mounting brackets allow you to fine-tune the heat direction, ensuring warmth is delivered exactly where it is needed.
Available in multiple power options from 2000W to 6000W, the Bromic Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Electric Patio Heater is suitable for residential and commercial installations alike.
- The 2000W and 3000W models use one infrared element and draw power from a single circuit.
- The 4000W and 6000W models use two infrared elements and require higher electrical capacity.
- Dual-element models provide broader heat coverage and higher output, making them better suited for larger areas or commercial installations.
With compatibility across wall, ceiling, pole, and recessed mounting options, as well as advanced control systems including dimmers and smart automation, this heater offers a flexible, design-forward heating solution for modern outdoor spaces.

FAQ
HOW IS THE BUILT-IN HEATER CONTROLLED?
The built-in heater can be hardwired or controlled using Bromic Smart-Heat On/Off or Dimmer controls for precise heat management.
WHAT CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FROM ADJACENT CEILING FANS?
A minimum side clearance of 3 feet from combustibles is required. Always follow the installation manual for exact clearance requirements.
DOES THE BUILT-IN HEATER COME WITH CEILING BRACKETS?
Yes. The heater includes brackets for wall or ceiling mounting. A ceiling recess kit is available separately for a flush-mounted installation.
ARE THE OUTDOOR HEATING APPLIANCES ADJUSTABLE IN TEMPERATURE AND OUTPUT?
Yes. The 4000W and 6000W models feature dual heating elements that can be controlled independently to adjust heat output as needed.
ARE THE OUTDOOR HEATERS WATERPROOF?
The Tungsten Electric series has an IPX4 water ingress rating. While suitable for outdoor use, Bromic recommends installing under cover and avoiding direct exposure to rain, snow, or salt mist to preserve appearance and longevity.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED THE 208V OR 220–240V VERSION?
220V–240V is standard for most residential installations and uses two 120V lines. 208V is typically found in commercial or multi-unit buildings with three-phase power. An electrician can confirm your available voltage.
HOW MANY OUTDOOR HEATING APPLIANCES DO I NEED?
The number required depends on your space size, layout, mounting height, and heater wattage. Larger or open areas may require multiple units for even heat coverage. Please send us an email if you would like help with your design.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INFRARED AND RADIANT HEATERS?
There is no difference. Infrared heaters are radiant heaters. They heat people and objects directly rather than warming the surrounding air, making them more efficient outdoors.
HOW ENERGY EFFICIENT ARE BUILT-IN ELECTRIC RADIANT HEATERS?
Efficiency depends on layout and placement. Directional infrared technology maximizes heat absorption by occupants rather than wasting energy on unused space.
CAN AN OUTDOOR RADIANT HEATING APPLIANCE BE LEFT ON ALL NIGHT?
Bromic heaters are designed for intermittent use. For safety and energy efficiency, turn the heater off when not in use. Timers or control systems can help regulate operation.
HOW DURABLE ARE TUNGSTEN OUTDOOR BUILT-IN HEATERS?
Tungsten heaters are built for durability with stainless steel construction and high-temperature coatings. Regular cleaning and proper installation help extend product life.
ARE BROMIC TUNGSTEN OUTDOOR HEATERS GOOD?
Yes. The Tungsten collection is known for high output, industrial design, and reliability. It is available in electric, gas, and freestanding options for residential and commercial use.
DO TUNGSTEN OUTDOOR HEATING APPLIANCES NEED VENTILATION?
Electric Tungsten heaters do not require ventilation. Gas and freestanding Tungsten models do require ventilation. Always follow the installation manual for safety requirements.
