This board includes integrated safety edge ramps that create a smooth transition to ground level, reducing trip hazards and giving the chessboard a finished, high-end border. The 18-inch square size is ideal for larger giant chess sets, including 2-foot, 3-foot, and 4-foot models, as well as 10-inch and 14-inch MegaChess checkers. It is the perfect option for customers who want a substantial, visually impressive board with commercial-level performance.
The chessboard performs best on hard, flat surfaces such as decks, patios, concrete, or flagstone. It is not recommended for grass when using the safety ramps because the lightweight edges may elevate unevenly. For grass installations, simply remove the ramps and clip the loops on two sides of the board.
